Why don't you build on WordPress?
We can — but we don't recommend it for most modern projects. WordPress has performance, security, and maintenance overhead that's hard to justify when modern static-first stacks (Astro, Next, Hugo) deliver better Core Web Vitals, simpler hosting, and lower long-term costs. For content-heavy publishing where you genuinely need WordPress's editor ecosystem, we'll build it. For most service businesses and e-commerce, Astro is the better answer.
What's wrong with Elementor or Divi?
They wrap every element in 5–10 nested divs, ship 800kb of CSS, run JS that kills INP, and produce HTML that's hard to crawl and hard to optimise. The design preview looks fine. The Lighthouse score is 28. We've had to rebuild dozens of Elementor sites — the visual design migrates in days, the performance gains compound forever.
How long does a build take?
Landing page: 2–3 weeks. Full website (10–25 pages): 6–10 weeks. Replatform: scoped per project, usually 8–14 weeks. We don't rush — but we don't pad either.
Do you handle hosting?
Yes — Cloudflare Pages or Workers, included for the first year on every build. Static sites are free to host on Cloudflare's free tier and scale globally for nothing. After year one you can keep us managing it or take it over yourself — the build is yours.
Can I edit content myself after launch?
Yes. We can wire a headless CMS (Sanity, Contentful, Decap, or others) where ongoing content editing is required. For sites where content changes a few times a year, we usually skip the CMS overhead — you tell us what to change and we ship it the same day.
What about migrating from my current site?
We migrate every URL 1:1, write the redirect map, monitor through cut-over, and follow up at 30/60/90 days post-launch. Migrations are where most rebuilds destroy SEO equity — we treat them as their own engineering work stream.
Do you do e-commerce?
Yes — Shopify, BigCommerce, headless e-commerce on Astro + a commerce backend (Medusa, Snipcart, Shopify Hydrogen). For complex catalogues we usually recommend keeping the commerce platform and building a faster front-end. See our e-commerce SEO page.
